Fairfield police attribute fourth sexual assault to one man

Fairfield police investigating a series of sexual batteries believe the same man struck again.

Lt. Stephen Crane said a 17-year-old girl jogging in the area of Westamerica Drive and Sandstone Way Wednesday evening about 8:25 was approached by a man asking for directions. He then committed a sexual battery on her. The teen fought her way out of the assault and escaped.

The assailant was described as white, in his late 20s and approximately 5 feet 7-8 inches tall. He had a slim build, blond hair and some facial hair.

The man may have one or more scratches on his face, arms or hands from the attack, Crane said.
