Fire crews pull submerged car out of Sacramento River

No bodies were found Friday afternoon after Sacramento Fire crews worked to pull a submerged car from the Sacramento River, officials said.

According to Sacramento Fire Department spokesperson Chris Harvey, witnesses reported the car had been in the water at the bottom of the Miller Park boat ramp for over an hour. After the Drowning Accident Rescue Team (DART) arrived and searched the car, officials said nobody was inside the car.

Emergency crews and law enforcement from the Sacramento Police Department and Sheriff's Department are still at the river investigating the incident.
