If you plan to head to the Golden 1 Center this weekend, be prepared for detours.
Beginning at 8 p.m., Friday, March 10, J Street will close between 5th and 7th Streets as as construction crews prepare to remove the first crane supporting the construction of the mixed-use DOCO tower. J Street will remain closed as work continues through the weekend. J Street will reopen at 9 p.m. Sunday, March 12.
Tip-off for both Sacramento Kings games scheduled for Friday and Saturday, March 10 and 11, will remain at 7:30 p.m. To avoid congestion and detours, arena patrons are encouraged to use alternative modes of transportation and services.
- Vehicles on J Street will be diverted North and South on 5th Street.
- Alternative freeway exits – Richards Blvd., Q Street, and 10th Street.
- Alternative modes of transportation and services – Regional Transit, complimentary bike valet at Cesar Chavez Park, and ride share.
