Law enforcement officials identify stabbing suspect in Butte County, still at large

A suspect has been identified in the stabbing and assault of a man in Malgalia, said the Butte County Sheriff's Office.

The incident happened at approximately 9 a.m. on Nov. 30 at a private residence in the 6500 block of Allentown Road. Deputies received a report of a man who had been beaten with a bat and stabbed in the hand during a dispute.

When deputies arrived on scene they were unable to locate the suspect but have identified the man as 33-year-old Don Craig Mokler Jr.

Law enforcement officials are actively searching for him and if anyone has any information regarding his whereabouts, contact the Sheriff's office at 538-7322.
