SACRAMENTO -- The north-side of the state Capitol was evacuated Thursday afternoon due to a suspicious package. Business was not interrupted by the incident, but California Highway Patrol did bring in the bomb evaluation unit to inspect the package.

Roads were also closed to traffic around the area -- L Street between 11th and 12th and 13th at K Street. Businesses in the area were also asked to shelter in place. There was no lockdown at the Capitol.
