A Georgia man has walked across the country to raise awareness about the dangers of drug use.

Brett Brambles has spent the last 220 days walking, traveling more than more 2,500 miles from Delaware to California.

ABC 10 News spoke with Brambles at his hotel in Cameron Park. He is expected to make his way into Sacramento by Tuesday.

Brambles' sister Brittany died of a heroin overdose in 2014. Since then, he has dedicated his life to raising awareness about dangerous drugs.

He plans to finish his trip in San Francisco in early November.
