Another suspect arrested in Tillamook vehicle theft

A third suspect was arrested Wednesday afternoon in connection to the theft of five Tillamook Dairy vehicles.

Manteca police said 38-year-old Michael Timothy Davy, of Sacramento, was booked into San Joaquin County Jail for vehicle theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, arson and conspiracy. Two other suspects -- Brian Michael Lancaster, 32, and Ryan Anthony Monaco, 38, -- were arrested on Tuesday.

The Tillamook cargo trailer, pickup truck and three mini-buses were stolen from a Manteca hotel's parking lot early Saturday morning. On Sunday, the truck and trailer were found burned, and then Monday, the mini-buses were found in a Copperopolis storage facility.

Manteca Chief of Police Nick Obligacion speculated the truck and trailer were torched to destroy evidence. He thinks the other vehicles would have been sold out of the country, or perhaps just kept for bragging rights.
