Modesto schools hit with computer virus

Modesto City Schools is working to restore their network after a computer virus hit the system Monday evening.

In an email to school staff Wednesday morning, Cindy Minter, the district's Information and Technology Services director, said there is not an estimated time as to when the network will be operational again.

"ITS staff is working with Microsoft to ensure that once the District network connections are between the school/support sites to the District's Datacenter that the computer virus will not spread again," she said.
