A 5-year-old boy was the victim of a hit-in-run in South Sacramento on Monday, according to the Sacramento Police Department.
The incident happened at approximately 6:30 p.m. on the 2400 block of Kim Ave near 24th Street at about 6:30 p.m.
The 5-year-old boy who was hit by the vehicle is in critical but stable condition at a hospital.
The suspect fled the scene but officers caught the person after receiving information about the man's whereabouts.
Drug or alcohol could be a factor in the driver's impairment, police say.
