Physician arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting patient in Roseville

A local physician has been arrested on the suspicion of sexually assaulting a patient, said the Roseville Police Department.

Narinder Singh Parhar, 64, is being accused of allegedly touching his patient inappropriately during an office appointment. The woman in her 60s contacted Roseville Police about the incident, which happened on Oct. 14.

On Wednesday morning, Nov. 1, officers arrested Parhar on suspicion of sexual battery, sexual penetration and elder abuse. He has been booked in the South Placer Jail.

A communications representative for Sutter Health Valley area confirmed with ABC10 that Parhar is an independent physician affiliated with Sutter Health. They are taking this allegation very seriously and are cooperating with the law enforcement investigation.
