Roseville man arrested for using stolen credit cards, with help from community

A man who used stolen credit cards from two garage burglaries in Roseville has been arrested, said the Roseville Police Department.

The Roseville man identified as Daniel Ryan Peterson, 29, is said to have burglarized two different homes after residents accidentally left their garage doors open overnight and left their credit cards as well as other valuables in their cars.

Not too soon after each burglary, the credit cards were used at a store.

During the investigation, police say thanks to a tip from their Facebook community, and other leads, helped identify Peterson as the suspect in both burglaries.

He was arrested on Tuesday Oct. 31 on suspicion of fraudulent use of credit card, being a felon in possession of pepper spray and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police also recovered a laptop that was stolen from a car in Citrus Heights.
