Roseville man in motorized wheelchair hit, killed by SUV

SACRAMENTO – A man was killed while crossing the street in his motorized wheelchair in Roseville Sunday evening.

Roseville police spokesperson Dee Dee Gunther said Ramon Esparza-Morales, 65, of Roseville was crossing Washington Blvd. at Pleasant St. when he was struck by a 1999 Nissan Pathfinder heading northbound on Washington.

Roseville officers and paramedics responded to the scene around 5:05 p.m. and transported Esparza-Morales to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
