Fox40 anchor accused of theft resigns; read her resignation post

UPDATE 4:15 p.m.: In a statement issued via a spokesman Tuesday afternoon, Rodriguez said she has split with now ex-fiance Nicholas Gray.

"As of today I have severed my ties with Nick Gray. I am now focusing on life decisions as I move forward with the support of family, friends, viewers and the community," the statement reads.

Sabrina Rodriguez has resigned from her position as a Fox40 anchor after she and her ex-fiance, Nicholas Gray, were arrested and accused of conspiracy and theft in connection to shoplifting high-priced merchandise from area stores.

Rodriguez announced her resignation in a Facebook post Tuesday morning.

"Resigning was not an easy decision to make, but it's one that will allow me to focus on my case and work to reestablish my good name," she wrote.
