Sacramento gets prepared to rock with Aftershock

The high-tech side of Aftershock. (Oct. 21, 2016)

One of the largest festivals that Sacramento will host all year is not EDM...its hard rock....50,000 fans will descend on Discovery Park this weekend for the Aftershock Festival.

Primus, Anthrax, Korn, along with the iconic band Tool as the headliner puts Aftershock in good company with Bonaroo and Cochella for big names.

The festival returns to discovery park this year after last year at Gibson Ranch which saw traffic and parking issues.

“This is a celebration of all things rock and roll culture. Not only do you get the music with tool, slayer, disturbed, you get the music experience, you get the student experience, you get the food and beverage experience....activations you can look to see this weekend,” said Clay Busch of Danny Wimmer Productions.

Close to $11 million will be pumped into the local economy, we know there are medical services because we talked to the Rockdocs on Friday and the festival is giving local bands some love.

Sacramento based "Some Fear None" will hit the stage at Aftershock,  Sunday right before noon.
