Arsonist caught on camera throwing matches at pot dispensary

An arsonist targeted a medical marijuana dispensary on Broadway. (Oct. 27, 2016)

On surveillance video you can see a man in a hooded sweatshirt throw what looks like a few matches when a flame so bright breaks out it whites out the footage.

This happened Thursday morning at 515 Broadway Collective, a medical marijuana dispensary on Broadway & 5th in Sacramento.

Sac Fire said it happened just after six and the security footage caught the beginning of the story.

You see the arson suspect, a white male, 5 foot 9 inches, weighing 180-200 lbs., walk up and come through the gate. He then starts dousing the area in what looks like lighter fluid.

Officials said the suspect likely has burns on his hands and/or face, which could resemble a bad sunburn.

The suspect drove off in a white, extended cab pickup truck with a bed liner and tool box in the back.

The business owner is offering a $10,000 cash reward to first person to bring information leading to the arrest/conviction of the arsonist.

The damage to the business was minimal and contained to an employee break room thanks to quick work by firefighters.

Police have fingerprints and physical evidence in addition to the video footage.
