How late can you wait to buy Kings tickets?

Last minute tickets will be available for Sacramento Kings games, but it will cost you. (Oct, 27, 2016)

The answer depends what you care about: Price, location, stress of looking for tickets, etc.

We wanted to see how late we could wait to get access to the home opener on Thursday at the Golden 1 Center.

We started looking at 3:15 p.m. when tip-off was set for 7:30 p.m.

On StubHub 181 tickets were available with the cheapest option at $129.99.

By 7 p.m. (a half hour to tip-off) 41 tickets were left.

This is the cheapest we ever saw them get at $120.

By 7:30 p.m. (tip-off) there were 29 tickets left to choose from.

We learned two big takeaways.

1) At tip-off sites stopped selling. So if you're waiting until the last minute don't cut it too short because your option to buy will disappear.

2) We noticed the lowest dip in prices a half hour before tip-off, but still not a super large discount.

You do have other options like eBay.

You have to be careful to make sure you’re dealing with a credible seller.

You can do that by checking their reviews and comparing it with the number of transactions they've done.

We found an eBay listing for two tickets for $280 or the best offer. It sold by 5:30 p.m.

Another observation is if you want to buy tickets straight from the Kings’ site.

We noticed a message posted around 4:15 p.m. that said "tickets are no longer on sale", but that could be deceiving.

When that message pops up you still 'click' and buy resale tickets on the same site.

Happy ticket hunting!
