Paul McCartney's concert will be immersed with fans enjoying themselves inside the Golden 1 Center, but outside of the arena is a different story.
Several street closures will make the roads more compacted.
These temporary street closures will be in place during the two concert days to control traffic pre- and post-event.
The former Beatle is set to perform at 8 p.m., according to the Golden 1 Center. Street closures will start an hour before the show and 30 minutes before it ends. Closures will be removed 30 to 45 minutes after the event.
The traffic control measures will be providing safe and convenient passage for pedestrians walking or riding bikes, limiting the number of vehicles circulating looking for parking before the event, limiting vehicle congestion after the event and more.
Below shows the Transportation Management Plan for the Golden 1 Center's temporary street closures by location:
Traffic has been an on-going topic of discussion since the downtown arena was first announced to be in the area and with street closures happening during this event it looks to be a foregone conclusion.
