Winter homeless shelter opening pushed back in Sacramento

The city of Sacramento confirmed that the set to release winter homeless shelter opening has been pushed back.

The shelter was originally supposed to open this week on Dec. 1, but the date has now been moved to Dec. 8.

The shelter is located at 2040 Railroad Drive and will be open for four months, instead of the initial six months, holding 200 beds inside. There will also be on-site health and social services.
