Stockton police make two separate arrests for high capacity magazines in one night

Stockton police arrested two men in two separate traffic stops Saturday after both men were found to be in possession of high capacity magazines, according to the Department.

Officers conducting a traffic stop on Sutherland Drive arrested Lee Vang, 28, after police found a high capacity magazine under the passenger seat of his car during a search of the vehicle, according to Stockton Police Department reports.

Later, officers made another traffic stop on Hemet Avenue and arrested Joey Sem, 23, after also discovering a high capacity magazine in his vehicle, police said.

A third man was also arrested on weapons charges after fleeing his vehicle during a traffic stop. Police arrested Jesus Garibay, 30, after a loaded handgun was found in his car, police said.
