2 Stockton homicides happen 20 minutes apart

Stockton Police officers are investigating two homicides Tuesday morning that occurred 20 minutes and just over three miles away from each other Monday night.

The first homicide, which involved a 38-year-old man, happened Monday at 10:22 p.m. in a parking lot on the 600 block of S. Lincoln Street.

Stockton police said witnesses at the scene heard an argument and then a gunshot which caused them to hide. After they came out of hiding they found the victim.

No suspects were seen but a white SUV, possibly an Escalade, was seen leaving the area according to police.

The second homicide occurred at 10:44 p.m. and it involved a 21-year-old-man. The man was walking in the 1900 block of East Mariposa Road before he was shot. No suspects were seen.
