STOCKTON - Towards the back of the 4th of July Parade in Stockton Friday morning was a group becoming more vocal and visible with it's message.
Cleveland School Remembers includes former teachers who were at Cleveland Elementary School 25 years ago when a madman attacked the school with an assault weapon.
"We're moved by the impact that gun violence has on children, because we were impacted at Cleveland school. It carries with you all your life," former teacher Julie Schardt said.
The group is expanding it's efforts to keep people mindful of school violence, and the need to keep searching for answers.
"We've been growing a lot, moving in different directions," Schardt said. "We're doing what we can to prevent gun violence."
