Man suspected of kidnapping, forcing teen into prostitution

STOCKTON - Stockton Police arrested Chester Lewellyn Brown, 20, charging him with kidnapping, various sex-related crimes, terrorist threats and outstanding warrants.

Stockton police said a 17-year-old girl claimed she had been kidnapped and forced into prostitution by Brown.

Officers found girl at Motel 6 on the 6700 block of Plymouth Road. Investigators said she met Brown several months earlier in Antioch, Calif.

The teen ran away a few days ago after arguing with her parents. Brown then picked her up and transported her to Stockton, where he forced her to create an online account on and engage in acts of prostitution, Investigators said.

Brown returned to the Motel 6 where officers detained him and located two 14-year-old girls and a 16-year-old girl inside his car, police said.

Brown was taken into custody without incident. Further investigation revealed that one of the 14-year-old girls had an outstanding warrant and had been reported as a missing person from the Bay Area. According to police, she was teaching the 17-year-old girl how to be a prostitute.

The two other girls found in the car denied any involvement in prostitution.

Police believe Brown may have other victims and are hoping they contact police.
