Stockton detectives seek man for questioning in slaying

Stockton homicide detectives have identified a man they want to talk to in connection with a fatal shooting Aug. 11.

Jose Diaz, 21 was shot dead as he walked near Mariposa Market on the 1900 block of E. Mariposa Road that Monday.

Investigators are looking for 21-year-old Rodolfo Andrade whose photo accompanies this story.

The Stockton Police Department asks citizens to call if they have information about this investigation. Callers can call the police department at (209) 937-8377, detective Fry or Moreno from the Investigations Unit at (209) 937-8323, or Crime Stoppers at (209) 946-0600. Callers can remain anonymous. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards up to $10,000 for information that may lead to an arrest.

Citizens may also text information from their cellphones to 'Crimes' (274637) and type the keyword TIPSPD and then their tip or log on to the Stockton Police Department's Facebook page and click 'Submit A Tip'. Tipsters may also send tips on the Stockton PD Mobile Phone App. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
