Stockton shooting victims identified

SACRAMENTO - Three people died in shootings in Stockton since Friday evening.

They were Octavio Galavis Jr., 40, who was fatally shot on the 800 block of Yorkshire Avenue at 7:05 Friday evening, Deputy Les Garcia with the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Department said.

Saturday night at 11:02, Milton Colmenares-Corona, 23, died after being shot on the 1700 block of South Madison Street, Garcia said.

And then Sunday morning at 7:23, Sheila Jenkins, 50, was shot dead on the 2200 block of Marsh Street.

All of the victims were from Stockton.

There has been one arrest in connection with the shootings. Stockton police officers arrested Robert Earl Thomas, 44, in connection withe the death of Jenkins. According to police spokesperson Officer Joe Silva, there had been a dispute between the suspect and victim prior to the shooting.
