Woman escapes brazen attack on Stockton street

Police are seeking a man suspected of attacking a woman in Stockton Sunday.

According to a report from the Stockton Police Department, the woman was walking near the 6000 block of Lorraine Ave. around 4 a.m. when a Hispanic or white man got out of a black vehicle parked in the area and approached her.

The man threw the woman to the ground and attempted to assault her, the report detailed.

The woman managed to get away and run to Panella Park where she hid until the man left the area, according to the report.

The woman was picked up by friends and taken to an area hospital for minor injuries sustained during the incident.
