James Wood II was heading home from his local post office when he was shot by the Tehama County, California shooter who went on a rampage Tuesday, according to family.

The 20-year-old was shot in the face and has been taken to Enloe Hospital in Chico and remains in critical condition, family members said. Wood’s father was also in the car and injured but is expected to be OK.

Wood is one of 11 others who were injured during the mass shooting, five people were killed.
