Turkeys invade Folsom neighborhood causing damage to cars and roofs.
A Folsom woman, Genna Mirmak, posted on Facebook about turkey problems in her neighborhood.
Mirmak said they usually come out around dusk. Sometimes she finds them sleeping on trees however the problems she encounters is when they're out.
She's seen some of them damaging roofs and cars. Mirmak even has claw marks on her car.
"I've lived in this house for seven years and I've never had a problem with them doing this," said Mirmak. "We've never noticed them on a car or anything and it was about three months ago that my husband got me and said you gotta come out here Genna there are turkeys all over the cars!"
She said her insurance won't cover the damage since it is an "act of nature."
Another neighbor who has lived there for more than 20 years said they've never been a bother to him.
"I've never been bothered by them," Eric Johnson said. "It's kind of nice to see them when you're walking through the neighborhood on a daily walk.:
For Mirmak she likes them too, just not on her car or roof.
The city of Davis has a turkey problem too. It started a wild turkey management plan in February. They trapped and relocated 25 turkeys.
Folsom doesn't have a plan yet.
