Turlock Animal Services posted a plea on Facebook on Tuesday. It says, “Our September dogs are in danger. Please consider adoption of your next pet. Any dog with the #9 in front of its identification number will be euthanized if not adopted soon.”

October is ‘Adopt a shelter pet month,’ and all adoption fees for the month are covered.
