Victim suffers life-threatening injuries in Fairfield shooting

Fairfield police are investigating a shooting that left one person injured Monday.

At approximately 4:30 p.m. Monday, officers received reports of gunshots in the 1300 Block of Travis Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers located evidence of a shooting in a parking lot. A shooting victim was located away from the scene after a friend attempted to transport the victim to the hospital, according to Fairfield police.

The victim was transported to a local trauma center with life-threatening injuries, according to police.
