SACRAMENTO - If you're looking for things to do this weekend, here are three events you might want to check out:
It's the Sacramento Ball Sack and Beer Fest. I think the name pretty much says it all. The event will raise awareness and money for the Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation. This event will be held at Wake Island Watersports in Pleasant Grove from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday. Its family friendly with an old time "country fair" theme. There will be carnival type games and activities from a dunk tank to burlap potato sack races to pinning the tail on the donkey. There will be live music along with the great taste of local Sacramento food trucks all there for the event. For more information you can go to www.testicularcancerawarenessfoundation.org.
If you feel more like taking in some culture than cultured yeast, there's a fun dance competition going on this weekend. Enjoy some of the area's top dancers competing in front of a panel of professional dancers. The show will include many different kids of dance, from tap, jazz, hip-hop, ballet, and musical theater. It will be held at the Crest Theater this weekend. http://www.sheertalentltd.com/
And last but not least, A Taste of Napa is an event sure to please whether you're a wine lover or simply looking for a day in the beautiful Napa Valley. The Yemaya Salsa Dance Company will be featuring wines from Napa Valleys' Ceja Vineyards. Enjoy wine tasting and hors d'oeurves, a beginner's salsa lesson, and social dancing into the evening this Saturday. http://www.yemayasalsa.com/index.html
Enjoy your weekend!
