What you need to know for Election Day

Do you know everything there is to know about what to do on election day?

Polls in California are open from 7 a.m. — 8 p.m.

Not sure where where your polling center is located? The Secretary of State's website can help with that. Just enter your address and it tells you where to go to cast your vote.

Completed Ballots, including vote-by-mail ballots, must be personally delivered by close of polls on Nov. 8.

Mailed ballots must be postmarked on or before Nov. 8, and received by your county elections office no later than Nov. 14, 2016.

Did you know your employer must give you up to two hours to vote? Employees can be given as much time as they need in order to vote, but only a maximum of two hours is paid time off.

Employees are eligible for paid time off for the purpose of voting only if they do not have sufficient time outside of working hours to vote. Employers may require time off to be taken only at the beginning or end of the employee's shift.
