Jesuit, Manteca to play at Levi's Stadium in Zero Week

SACRAMENTO - The Jesuit Marauders and the Manteca Buffaloes will represent the Sac-Joaquin Section when they help break in the brand new home of the San Francisco 49ers.

Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara will host a Friday Night Lights double-header on Aug. 29 during Zero Week. The inaugural event will be headlined by the Marauders, who will face the nationally ranked De la Salle Spartans of Concord at 8 p.m. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN2 and also available on the WatchESPN application.

Manteca will face Santa Clara's Wilcox High School as the opening act, beginning at 4:30 p.m.

De La Salle has won 22 consecutive North Coast Section title games and have won five of eight California State Championship Bowl games. The football program is subject of the new motion picture "When the Game Stands Tall."

Jesuit has won 22 league championships in its 50 years of existence. They have qualified for the playoffs in eight of the last 10 seasons.

Manteca have won four Sections Championships since 2000 and are the defending Valley Oak League champions. They competed in last year's NorCal Regional Championship.
