LA Rams defensive end Ethan Westbrooks arrested on domestic violence charges

Los Angeles Rams defensive end Ethan Westbrooks was arrested on Sunday in Sacramento.

The Sacramento Police Department received a call on Sunday night to the 8700 block of Center Parkway. When officers arrived, they found a woman with non-life threatening injuries to her upper body. They determined she was injured while fighting with Westbrooks over the custody of their child.

Officers located 26-year-old Westbrooks and took him into custody on felony domestic violence charges.

Westbrooks attended Franklin high school in Elk Grove and played football with the Wildcats. His collegiate career began at San Joaquin Delta College before transferring to Sacramento City College. In 2012 he transferred to West Texas A&M and went undrafted in the 2014 NFL Draft.

Westbrooks appeared in all 16 games with the Rams in 2016, finishing the season with 24 tackles and recording two sacks.
