ALAMEDA, CA - Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allenconfirmed Wednesday that rookie Matt McGloin will draw a second consecutivestart at quarterback when his team hosts the Tennessee Titans this Sunday.
McGloin stepped in for an injured Terrelle Pryor last week and peformed wellin his starting debut, throwing for three touchdowns without an interceptionto help Oakland to a 28-23 road victory over Houston. The undrafted free agentcompleted 18-of-32 attempts for 197 yards.
Pryor was inactive against the Texans due to a sprained right knee heinitially sustained in a loss to Philadelphia in Week 9. The former Ohio Statestar did play the following week but was mostly ineffective, completing just11-of-26 passes for 122 yards and an interception in Oakland's 24-20 setbackto the New York Giants.
Though Pryor leads all NFL quarterbacks with 504 rushing yards this season,he's often struggled as a passer. The 24-year-old has thrown for only fivetouchdowns while being intercepted 10 times over his eight starts andcompleted less than 55 percent of his attempts in each of his last four games.
