Ky. Busch wins at Fontana after Logano, Hamlin crash on last lap

Fontana, CA (Sports Network) - Kyle Busch won Sunday's Auto Club 400 in a very dramatic finish that featured rivals Denny Hamlin and Joey Logano crashing on the final lap while battling for the lead.

Busch put on a dominating performance by leading 125 of 200 laps at Auto Club Speedway, but was running third to Logano and Hamlin on the last lap. Logano and Hamlin made contact and crashed in turn 3, allowing Busch to slip by and steal the win. He gave Joe Gibbs Racing and Toyota its first Sprint Cup Series victory at this 2-mile Southern California racetrack.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. finished second, followed by Kurt Busch, Carl Edwards and Greg Biffle.

Hamlin slammed hard into the inside retaining wall. The JGR driver was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital, but he was awake and alert following the incident.

Logano ended up finishing sixth. After the race concluded, a fight between Tony Stewart and Logano occurred on pit road. Stewart was furious with Logano for blocking him during a late-race restart.

Last week, Hamlin and Logano had an altercation on and off the track at Bristol Motor Speedway, which later led to a trade of jabs on Twitter.

Busch scored a weekend-sweep at Fontana. He won the Nationwide Series race here on Saturday, giving JGR its ninth straight Nationwide victory at this track.
