SACRAMENTO -Many families can't afford a trip to Disneyland this summer. But California lawmakers havemade the trip, using thousands of dollars in free tickets.

According to the California Secretary of State's office, dozens of lawmakers and their aideshave taken $125,000 in free tickets to the park since 2000.

The top receiver is Orange County Senator, Tom Harman who hasbeen given about $2,220 inDisney tickets 11 separate times.

There's nothing illegal about the gifts, but critics say it's not right.

"We stand behind the voters saying these gifts are wrong and should be banned, they serve no purpose but to influence lawmakers," said Phillip Ung with California Common Cause.

A bill to ban such gifts to legislators, died in Committee on Thursday, for the fifth time.
