STOCKTON, CA - A fire at a warehouse in the Mormon Slough area of Stockton on Tuesday, burned two businesses and destroyed another.

According to firefighters on scene, crews were called to the warehouse on South California St. around 1:40 a.m. and found the building engulfed in flames.

One of the three businesses inside, belonging to a general contractor,contained paint which leaked during the blaze, firefighters said. As such, Hazmat crews were called to the scene to help with containment and cleanup efforts.

The general contractor's business was destroyed in the fire.

A nursery was also housed in the warehouse, but firefighters did not state how badly that business had been burned.

Firefighters did not indicate whether anyone was injured, or what they thought started the fire.
