SACRAMENTO - Citrus Heights police shot at a vehicle after the driver tried to ram them Sunday morning, Sacramento County Sheriff's Department spokesperson Sgt. Lisa Bowman said.

Officers were chasing a stolen vehicle at 11:38 a.m. near Sunset and San Juan avenues when the female driver attempted to ram them with the car. Citrus Heights officers fired shots at the driver in response.

Officials have not yet released the condition of the driver, or whether she was even hit.
