Spencer Stone, one of three Sacramento men who stopped an alleged terrorist on a French train this summer, was stabbed multiple times early Thursday. Chris Harvey of the Sacramento Fire Department confirmed Stone was taken to UC Davis Medical Center for multiple stab wounds to his torso, he is in serious condition.ORIGINAL STORY:
At 4:15 p.m. Thursday U.C. Davis Medical Center spokesperson said that Spencer Stone suffered three stab wounds to his torso and was in serious condition. The spokesperson said that his care team anticipated that he would make a full recovery and that Stone was heavily sedated. The spokesperson gave no date as to when Stone would be released.
Sacramento police say two or three Asian male suspects assaulted Stone late Wednesday night. They immediately fled the scene in a 2009 - 2012 dark gray or black Toyota Camry. Police believe the video below shows the suspects getting into the car and fleeing the scene.
Stone was out with friends at an area club when a physical altercation happened just after midnight near 21st and K streets, which led to the stabbing.
Police said this was not a random act, but believed to be related to a night club incident.
A surveillance video at A&P Liquor on 21st street captured the group fighting in the middle of the street, but it does not clearly show faces of the suspects.

ABC News has learned Stone may have been protecting a friend at the time of the stabbing. Investigators say the assault was not a terrorist attack, and alcohol is believed to be a factor.
The department said the incident is not related to terrorism in any way, or the previous incident in France.
