ABC10's Bryan May knows the news business from both sides of the camera. He first came to ABC10 in 1999 as a fill-in sports anchor, but soon landed a fulltime position as a news photographer. Late in 2000, Bryan once again stepped to the other side of the camera, taking a position as a general assignment news reporter. In early 2003, Bryan was named a fulltime sports anchor/reporterfor ABC10. In that capacity he is regularly seen on ABC10 News at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.
Bryan originally hails from Beaumont, Texas, which is also where he got his start in broadcasting. He spent five years in radio there, as well as a four year stint as public address announcer for the the city's AA baseball franchise. Bryan then broke in to television in Beaumont, first as a photographer, and then as sports director. After ten years on the air in Beaumont, in 1997 Bryan took a sports director position in Nashville, Tennessee. After two-years in Nashville, Bryan moved west to Sacramento and ABC10. During his career, Bryan has won numerous awards for reporting, including being voted best sportscaster for five years in a row.
Bryan is married to ABC10 traffic anchor Melissa Crowley. The couple lives in Sacramento and are the proud parents of two girls.Bryan and Melissa are both very involved in the community. In their spare time, they like to explore the backroads and scenic wonders of California.
