Guard Wayne Ellington was waived from the Sacramento Kings, General Manager Pete D'Alessandro said Wednesday.

The Kings acquired Ellington from the New York Knicks last month, as well as forward-center Jeremy Tyler and the Knicks' 2016 second-round draft pick in exchange for forwards Quincy Acy and Travis Outlaw.

Ellington averaged 6.4 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game in 312 contests during his five-year NBA career.
