GRANITE BAY - Who doesn't like saving a little extra cash? You've heard of daily deals sites like Groupon and Living Social.
Now, there is a new mobile app called dealsnapt.
"We differ in that most of our content is in store," Randy Custeau said.
dealsnapt is based in Granite Bay and launched a couple of years ago. Co-founders Custeau and Semih Secei didn't want to simply reinvent the deal wheel.
"I constantly ask myself, 'what do I do to make it better?,'" Secei said.
"They don't need to buy it upfront, print it. They just need to use their phone," Teresa Arteaga explained.
That's the beauty of dealsnapt for the consumer. It's a free download, no upfront costs, and no worries about expiring deals. There's benefits for businesses, too.
"They don't have to worry about a Friday night if they're busy, a bunch of people walk in on a Groupon deal," Custeau added.
The platform allows business owners to control how and when they offer the deal.
"They want to offer specials when they need customers the most," Custeau added.
Bill McAnnally Racing and Auto Care in Roseville started working with dealsnapt two months ago.
"We've built a name in the racing industry so a lot of people just think we're a race team," Bill McAnally said.
McAnally partnered with dealsnapt to let people know they're a full service auto repair shop. They offer deals on things like oil changes or A/C inspections.
"We've seen a little spike and it's amazing," McAnally said. "The first day we signed up for dealsnapt, we automatically started getting calls."
dealsnapt also helps promote events.
The company has grown from just Custeau and Secei to an office of a dozen people. They first worked on getting local small businesses on board and now they're scaling nationally.
Their work, however, is far from done.
"There is a lot more we are going to be building in terms of increasing customer experience in store," Secei said.
Which makes it fun, while you save some cash.
dealsnapt is available on Apple and Android devices.
