300 pounds of spilled honey blocks traffic near Tracy

A semi truck caught on fire and now 300 pounds of honey is blocking traffic on Interstate 5 near Tracy (March 17, 2017)

All northbound lanes are closed on northbound I-5 and Kasson Road after 300 pounds of honey spilled, according to California Highway Patrol.

A semi and trailer caught fire at 4:28 am in what's being reported as a non-injury incident.  Caltrans has been called to cleanup the honey.

For point of reference, a typical large bottle of honey you buy at the store weighs 2 pounds. So, this like about 150 jars of honey on the road. Northbound traffic is being diverted off I-5 at Highway 33 which is about 5 miles south of the crash.
