Today is the first day of Spring and the wet weather is making a return!
After a dry stretch of unseasonably warm weather, the rain and Sierra snow make a return this week. The first storm will hit Monday afternoon and last until Wednesday. The second storm then arrives Friday and will stay with us through the weekend.
Here's the timing of the first storm.
Valley: Showers move in by the evening.
Foothills: Showers move in by the afternoon.
Sierra: Snow level 7500’. Scattered showers by the evening.
Valley: Rain. 0.10 – 0.25”
Foothills: Periods of heavy rain. 0.25 – 0.75”
Sierra: Breezy with showers. 0.10-0.25”
Valley: Showers through midday. Partly cloudy with isolated afternoon thunderstorms. Breezy. 0.10 – 0.50” of rain.
Foothills: Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. Breezy. 1-2” of rain.
Sierra: A Winter Weather Advisory for the west slope. Snow level 6500’ with 4 – 8” of snow possible. A chance for thunderstorms. Showers in the morning, snow showers by the evening. Precipitation could be heavy at times. Windy at times, slow travel and possible chain controls.
Valley: Moderate rainfall during the morning commute. Hit or miss showers later. Isolated thunderstorms. 0.10– 0.25”
Foothills: Scattered showers. 0.10 – 0.25” of rain possible.
Sierra: Snow showers. Snow level 5000’. 1 - 3” of snow possible. Thunder possible.
