ABC10 adds 2 new newscasts | Updated TV schedule details

ABC10 has new 30-minute shows: "Morning Blend Extra Shot" at 11 a.m. and "ABC10 News at 6:30." "Ellen" will air at 3:00 p.m.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Beginning Monday, September 30th, ABC10 is launching two new 30-minute weekday shows: Morning Blend Extra Shot at 11 a.m. and ABC10 News at 6:30. ABC10 is changing up the mid-morning through afternoon television programming lineup to accommodate these two new live broadcasts.

The addition of these shows allows ABC10 to better serve our community with more current news and information throughout the day.  The shows will also air on ABC10's mobile app, website, and connected TV apps.

Morning Blend Extra Shot airs live at 11 a.m. and is hosted by ABC10 Morning Blend team members Brittany Begley and Keristen Holmes. This live broadcast is an extension of the Morning Blend morning show airing weekdays 4:30-7 a.m. Viewers can expect an eclectic mix of hard news, weather, and information they can use along with the day’s top, trending topics.

ABC10 News at 6:30, hosted by anchors Madison Meyer and Mike Duffy, will feature the day’s top stories, given more depth and context. Designed for the viewer on-the-move, ABC10 News at 6:30 keeps pace with the day’s topics, informing and empowering viewers.

The addition of these new shows creates an opportunity to make some changes in our day-time lineup. The shows most effected by the time shifts are The Ellen Show, The Rachel Ray Show, Inside Edition and an additional weekday airing of Jeopardy!, a viewer favorite. The new lineup is as follows:

  • 11:30 a.m. - Daily Blast Live
  • Noon -  GMA3: Strahan, Sara & Keke
  • 1:00 p.m. - General Hospital
  • 2:00 p.m. -  Rachael Ray
  • 3:00 p.m. -  Ellen
  • 4:00 p.m. -  Jeopardy! II (repeat of past seasons)
  • 4:30 p.m. -  Inside Edition
  • 5:00 p.m. -  ABC10 News at 5
  • 5:30 p.m. -  ABC World News Tonight
  • 6:00 p.m. -  ABC10 News at 6
  • 6:30 p.m. -  ABC10 News at 6:30
