Andie Judson is a Multi-Skilled Journalist at ABC10 in Sacramento, Calif., specializing in deep dive/investigative reporting and special projects for the ABC10 Originals Team.
As a seventh-generation Californian, Andie is ecstatic to be covering stories people care about in the heart of California. Raised in San Luis Obispo, the Sacramento region became a second home to Andie as she grew up spending summers and holidays here as her grandparents lived in Davis and extended family reside in the Sacramento area.
Andie’s career began in Atlanta and Los Angeles interning and researching for CNN and NBC News. A desire to experience local journalism brought her to WCNC in Charlotte, where she fine-tuned her knack for seeking out and telling impactful stories within the community. During her time in the Carolinas, Andie won five Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards.
A passion for long-form documentary style storytelling took Andie to Washington, D.C., to report and produce these types of stories for all stations under TEGNA, the parent company of ABC10. There she created character-driven stories that exemplified “the best stories about the best of us” and was nominated for six Emmy Awards, including three in the category of Serious Feature News Report.
California has always been home to Andie, so she was beyond thrilled to join the ABC10 Originals team in February 2020 and continue her reporting in the Golden State. Andie regards every individuals’ story she’s able to report as an honor. When given this privilege, she puts her heart and soul into it.
Outside of the newsroom, Andie spends her time exploring her community with her dog, volunteering, hiking and seeking out local restaurant gems and live music spots.
