SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Bridgette Bjorlo is an Emmy Award-winning anchor and reporter for ABC10. She has worked in the Sacramento news market since January 2019, covering presidential visits, the coronavirus pandemic, and some of California’s largest wildfires.

A dream of becoming a journalist was born in high school, where she worked as a news editor for the weekly paper and anchor for the televised morning announcements.

Prior to joining ABC10, Bridgette served as an anchor and reporter for FOX40 in Sacramento, WATE in Knoxville and WTVY in Dothan. She got her broadcasting start at the Fox News Channel in New York City, where she worked as a booking producer while simultaneously obtaining a Master of Science from Columbia University’s Pulitzer School of Journalism.

Bridgette graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rutgers University with a dual Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science. She also worked as a teaching assistant for incoming journalism students and looks forward to someday lecturing at a university.

Bridgette is most passionate about sharing personal stories of triumph and resilience in the face of adversity and informing the people of Northern California about imperative issues in their community.
