If you witness something surprising, amazing or newsworthy please send it our way.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — If you capture something noteworthy with your camera we want to know about it.  It can be newsworthy, surprising, fun or just anything you think is special.

A new feature in the ABC10 app, called "Near Me," allows you to be a citizen journalist and send tips, photos and videos directly to our team through the app.

If you’d like to submit a photo or video, open the ABC10 app (make sure you have the latest version downloaded on your phone). On the bottom right corner of your screen, click the button that says "Near Me." When that opens, click the orange button in the upper left corner that says “Share with us.”

Viewers are able to upload three photos or one video at a time. Provide a title, share your name and email, and include your location. Then hit submit!

Once ABC10’s digital team approves the submission, you and everyone else will be able to see the upload in ABC10’s app. They may also be used online and on-air.

Be sure to let us know:

  • When and where it was taken
  • Who took the photo or video
  • How to contact you

Check out what others have uploaded on the Near Me section of ABC10.com.
