This tradition is how Sacramento has been ringing in the yuletide season since the ’80s.

The 2018 Sacramento Santa Parade will be combining marching bands, clowns, youth groups, horses, antique vehicles, and a visit from Santa Claus for a family-friendly event.

When is it?

The Sacramento Santa Parade happens rain or shine on December 8 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Where is it?

The event is located near Capitol Park in downtown Sacramento.

What route does the parade take?

2018's Sacramento Santa Parade will start at:

  • 15th and N Street
  • Head west on N to 10th Street
  • North on 10th to L Street
  • East on L to 12th Street

Where do I park?

Parking is available at the City of Sacramento parking garages located on 10th Street and L Street and 10th Street and I Street.

How many people are going to be there?

20,000 people are expected to attend the annual parade. Currently, the event’s social media page has more than 13,000 people interested in attending.
