SACRAMENTO, Calif. — It's no secret that the California State Fair offers some of the best food you can imagine. The good news is that there are new menu items to satisfy any cravings.
ABC10 got a sneak peek at some of the foods ahead of opening day of the fair. There's plenty to make your mouth water like a maple bacon cinnamon bomb from County Fair Cinnamon Rolls.
"This cinnamon roll is the cinnamon roll of cinnamon rolls," said Willie Madaus, owner of Country Fair Cinnamon Rolls.
But that's not all.
Amber Vandewarker, owner of The Bacon Habit, created a tasty chicken dish.
"This is our Hawaiian Chicken. We actually take half a pineapple and pour it out and put all the good pineapple chunks back in the bottom here. And then we put some rice and teriyaki chicken on it," Vandewarker said.
There will be over a hundred vendors at the state fair this year. The fair runs from July 12 to July 28.
